Welcome to Serendipitous.

Yesterday I watched the DVD of The Notebook - what a poignant film - and the tears flowed!
Today started with a short power walk. Have you noticed how certain songs played whilst walking help the pace? Black Eyed Boys by Texas certainly fits this bill.

Recently I went to the Picasso Museum in Malaga. A great place for inspiration. This was preceded a few days earlier by a wonderful lecture on the great artist given by the DFAS de la Frontera society at the San Roque Club. There is also a hidden gem that is a must-see: the Glass and Crystal Museum (Museo del Vidrio y Cristal) is far more than the title implies. Set in a restored 18th century palace there is an eclectic mix of stained glass, period furniture and beautiful crystal.

Belonging to two book groups means that at the moment I am reading two very diverse books; Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin - where the author documents his travels through the American Deep South of the 1950s disguised as a black man, and Oranges are not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson - a coming of age novel set in the 60's with autobiographical elements by the author. Book reviews to follow.
My crafty side has been playing with mixed media textile projects. Here is some silk that I have painted and embellished - just need to find something to do with it now!:
